Online prices for charging stations are difficult to compare. Sometimes it's just about the device. Sometimes a short standard installation is included, but not the electrical protection, inspection, energy measurement or work on the fuse box. Therefore, always compare the total price of a safe, working installation at your address.
In our simulator you choose the parts you already know. We then check the technical situation. This way we limit unexpected costs and you don't pay for material or charging power that you don't need.
Which parts are included in the total price?
Your charging station determines how fast you charge, who can charge with it and how you operate or set the device. In addition, the charging station must be safely connected to your electrical installation. A fixed charging point has its own, properly secured circuit. The cable, circuit breaker, residual-current protection and any energy meter must match your connection, grid type and charging power.
The location of the charging station also matters. A device next to the fuse box requires less material and work than a charging point on the other side of the house. Drilling, outdoor cabling, a mounting post, trenches or paving repairs make the installation more extensive. After installation, we set everything up, test its operation and provide explanations. If the inspection is included in your quotation, we will request it from an independent inspection body. You register the charging station yourself at Fluvius when the reporting obligation applies.
A concrete price example, checked on 30 October 2026: a new private wall installation with Easee Charge Max, Equalizer for load balancing, three-phase protection, household charging station inspection and 3 to 10 meter cabling costs € 1.599 to € 1.774 excl. VAT. With 6% VAT this is € 1.694,94 to € 1.880,44; with 21% VAT € 1.934,79 to € 2.146,54. A mounting pole, excavation work, loose charging cable and extra cabinet work are not included in this example.
- The chosen charging point and any fixed or loose charging cable.
- Cabling, protection and adjustments in the fuse box.
- Distance, drilling, outdoor route, excavation and wall or pole mounting.
- Load balancing, solar charging and appropriate energy metering.
- Setup, testing, explanation and the agreed documents; the inspection when it is included in your quotation.
More charging power is not always more useful.
A charging point can technically support up to 22 kW, but your car, connection and electrical installation determine the actual charging speed. Many cars charge on alternating current with a maximum of 11 kW. A heavier cable or mains connection does not automatically save time. If your car is stationary for a long time every night, a lower power may be more than sufficient for your daily kilometers.
Dynamic power control, also called load balancing, adjusts the charging power to what your home still has available at that moment. If the hob, heat pump or boiler require more power, the charging current will temporarily decrease. As soon as there is room again, it can rise again. This means that an expensive network reinforcement is sometimes not necessary. We look at the energy your car needs and the time in which it can charge, not just at the highest power on the packaging.
This way you compare quotes on the same basis.
Ask with each quote what cable length and cable route are included, what protections will be installed and whether work on the fuse box and inspection are included. Also check that load balancing is only listed as an option or is installed and set up with an appropriate meter.
With a company car, the measurement and reimbursement require extra attention. This may require a MID meter or a connection to a management platform. Some external platforms charge subscription fees or platform fees; we do not do that for our refund platform. Costs from the contract of the charging card provider are separate from this. For private use without reimbursement, such a management platform is usually not necessary.
- Is the quote for just the device or for a turnkey installation?
- What cable length, drilling and finishing are included?
- Are the protective devices, diagrams, inspection and configuration specified?
- Are there recurring software, platform or transaction fees?
- What happens if the photos or situation on site differ?
From price estimate to final quotation.
In the simulator you indicate, among other things, where the charging station will be located, how long the cable route is from the fuse box, what has already been prepared and whether you want automatic power control. Based on your choices you will receive an initial price estimate.
We then check the connection, fuse box, meter, charging location and cable route via clear photos, a video call or, where necessary, a site visit. As soon as the information is correct, we will make the final quotation. This way you know in advance what we deliver and we come to the installation prepared.
Short answer
Frequently asked questions
What does a standard charging station installation cost at Laadnatie?
A price example checked on 30 October 2026: a new residential wall installation with Easee Charge Max, an Equalizer for automatic power management, three-phase protection, inspection and 3 to 10 metres of cabling costs € 1.599 to € 1.774 excluding VAT. At 6% VAT, this is € 1.694,94 to € 1.880,44; at 21% VAT, € 1.934,79 to € 2.146,54. A mounting post, excavation work, a detachable charging cable and additional electrical panel work are not included.
Can I calculate the price of my charging station in advance?
Yes. With the Laadnatie simulator you can put together charging point, cable distance, installation, excavation work and other visible parts. The outcome is an indicative price. We then check your connection, photos and chosen location, so that the final quote matches the real installation.
Why is only the price of the charging station misleading?
The device is just one part. Cabling, protection, cabinet work, energy measurement, installation, inspection and working hours determine the total price. A low device price therefore says little about what a safe, ready-to-use installation in your home really costs.
Is load balancing always an extra cost?
In our simulator you will see the Equalizer for automatic power control as a separately priced option. We will determine whether you need this arrangement based on your connection, home consumption and other major appliances. It can sometimes prevent unnecessary reinforcement of the connection.
